Customized Rims

We're a small scale shop & we won't be able to offer a rim for everyone; if our options aren't enough our cups are 100% compatible with any Giardinelli threaded rim.  Other rim makers include Houghton, Houser, Osmun, Marcinkiewicz, Moosewood, Atkinson and probably others.  If you have a rim you love you can keep using it with our cups.

Available sizes 16.75 - 19.0 in standard junction and larger is possible in PHC or Olifant C.

We recommend Titanium but also offer plated brass and stainless.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns.  When factoring my time working on designs and logistical overhead of one-off manufacturing we’re not really making any money on these.  I offer these because sometimes the right rim can save a career or make playing accessible again after an injury.  However, we want you to be happy comfortable & most importantly playing your horn - if we need to try again we can give you a 50% discount on subsequent custom rims.

In my very personal case my rim fixed an issue that plagued me all through college; I had a bad double buzz and a few very specific profiles that help gather the lips in allow me to play at a high level (formerly a Houser JL 18.25 and now our CN 18 rim).  It's because I've needed a special rim myself that I offer these, despite the negative economics.
