For Classical Hand Horn works or early valved horn, the HF is shallower and brighter than the H.
For baroque horn it has great control in the high register and the open throat helps keep the back pressure at a manageable level.
On natural horn it’s excellent for classical and early romantic writing where the security and slots help navigate the high speed arpeggios and range demands. Serviceable on later Romantic works, but the Model H offers a substantially reduced color change on stopped notes.
Works well on early valves horns, particularly from French or English makers.
