Built with a shallow cup and high resistance the G is extremely response, accurate, and easy to play on for long sessions.
What surprises people is its wonderful, open low register, appealing sound, and huge power and projection.
Normally a small, tight mouthpiece would struggle at these attributes - to make it work we had to use all our tricks. To keep it from being overly stiff and slotty, we machine the walls very thin - this is our lightest standard cup at only 22g in brass. To address the low register we use a complicated-to-make S shaped back bore that gives a clean response and opens up the feeling vs the small nominal throat.
