Caring for your Titanium Rim
Share
We've gotten a few questions about the Titanium rims!
The good news is this is going to be an incredibly short post; there's not too much to know. With no coatings to wear out and Titanium's naturally high resistance to corrosion there's nothing really to do. However there are a couple of small tips and tricks.
My Rim Is Scratched!
Small scratches can be easily buffed out using a metal polish and a cotton polishing wheel. If you don't own a Dremel or don't feel confident in the DIY here you can send any of our Ti rims back to us for a free polishing - just pay return shipping. Reach out here for details
My Rim is Gross!
The best way to clean the rims is with dish soap and a rag. Don't use any abrasive pot cleaners - Titanium is relatively hard and durable but it's not harder than steel wool or kitchen abrasives and can be scratched.
My Rim is Too Sticky!
Titanium can be a bit sticky when freshly washed with dish soap; simply wipe the surface with food-safe mineral oil and wipe off excess with a dry, clean cloth.
