Model Y Cup

The Model Y is our forray into a slightly darker, slightly larger bore tone space than we have previously focused on, but without giving up the precision, control and intonation we've become known for.

Players of larger bore mouthpieces have always enjoyed smooth slurs and wonderful wide sound, but often at the expense of a lot of air at louder dynamics and a loss of core to the sound.  The Y is designed differently - we used a pure, convex taper from the rim junction all the the way through the back bore to give all of that upside in a tidy, playable package.

Will it take more air than a #19 bore G?  Yes, of course - but you're here for the sound, and this is a remarkable efficient cup for what it can do.
